Release the Pressure!

Take a minute and just smile! Like right now, just smile. Stop reading and smile!

I see you still wondering why I’ asking you to smile, but please do. You know you use less muscles when you smile! šŸ˜‰

Hahaha!! *insert my hearty laughter*

Yes, take a minute out your busy day and release the pressure with a smile. Your day may be taking a toll on you, ups and downs, disappointments and frustrations, but do just that one thing, SMILE!

Now let’s discuss the pressure. Do you ever feel the need to NEVER break down? Like you are that one machine in the factory that is always running 24/7, 365? Bruvv, you are never getting a break; everywhere you go it’s just uphill ever? That almost everyone is depending on you to keep it going, for their sake?

Yesssss!!! I totally feel you. And I guess it comes with the territory that you undertake, especially if you are a first born child. There is always that sense of responsibility that is invisible but you still carry around that makes you behave the way you do.

And No No, I’m not saying this to exclude everyone else but y’all feel the same pressure as well. Pressure to perform well in all that you do, school, work, career, spiritual walk, lifestyle, you name it.

Well, what do you do when all that becomes to much and you feel you need a break? Do you have a safe haven to let loose?Ā To release the pressure? To go back and assess yourself, reflect and regain your strength and confidence?

God reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6 that we should “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Not one, two, twenty but ALL your ways!

So whatever, and I mean whatever life throws at you, remember there is someone greater that you can trust and who will always give you guidance! May you find a safe haven in His arms and may He wrap you tight!

“I smile, even though I hurt see I smile,
I know God is working so I smile,
Even though I’ve been here for a while
I smile, smile..
it’s so hard to look up when you’ve been down.
Sure would hate to see you give up now
You look so much better when you smile.”

  1. Beautiful message and reminder!Thank you Vivi. Yes sometimes in this world we move from times of peace and tranquility into the painful realms of trouble. However the question will always be how do we respond. We can be fearful and wonder why God allowed it to happen or we can trust in the midst of trouble he is doing something that is for our best, even when it hurts.Despite the chaos in the present moment He still reigns.
